MealSmith is operated by Marc Davies, trading as MealSmith, based in England. If you have any questions, contact us at hello@mealsmith.ai.
What MealSmith is
MealSmith is a personal recipe app for iPhone. It lets you save recipes you find online, capture dishes you already cook, and create new recipes with AI. It is a personal tool, not a social platform, recipe discovery service, or nutrition adviser.
Using the app
You may use MealSmith for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not use it to scrape or harvest recipe content at scale, abuse or attempt to circumvent the AI features, reverse engineer the app, or use it in any way that violates applicable law.
MealSmith is intended for users aged 13 and over.
MealSmith Unlimited
MealSmith is free to use for up to 10 recipes with all features included. MealSmith Unlimited is an optional subscription that removes the recipe limit.
Subscriptions are billed through Apple and managed via your Apple ID. We do not handle payment directly and cannot issue refunds. Refund requests must be made to Apple at apple.com/support.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Any price change will apply from your next renewal period and Apple will notify you in advance.
AI-generated content
MealSmith uses AI to help you create and structure recipes. AI-generated recipes are provided for personal use and convenience. You should use your own judgement before cooking any recipe, particularly regarding allergens, dietary requirements, and food safety. MealSmith does not warrant that AI-generated recipes are accurate, complete, or suitable for your circumstances.
Third-party services
MealSmith relies on third-party services to deliver certain features, including AI processing and recipe importing. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of these services. If a third-party service is unavailable, some features of MealSmith may not work.
Importing recipes from third-party websites, social media, or video platforms is subject to the terms of those platforms. You are responsible for ensuring your use of imported content complies with applicable copyright and platform terms.
Your data
Your recipes are stored on your device and, if enabled, in your private iCloud account. We do not have access to your iCloud data. How we handle any data that passes through our systems is set out in our Privacy Policy.
No warranties
MealSmith is provided as-is. We do not guarantee the app will be available at all times, free from errors, or that any particular feature will remain available in future versions. We will do our best to keep the app working well, but we cannot make formal guarantees.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MealSmith and Marc Davies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the app.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
